WhatsApp Bot Comparison for Israeli Businesses 2026

An Israeli business looking for a WhatsApp bot usually chooses among three kinds of solutions: platforms that connect to the official WhatsApp API and offer a bot builder (such as Gambot, OCTBOT, AllChat, WATI and ManyChat), managed AI agents (such as WhaleBiz and DanAI), and a platform with a custom implementation (such as Connectop). Published starting prices range from limited free plans to about ILS 500 a month, and solutions connected through the official API are also subject to Meta’s message fees. The right choice depends on three questions: do your customers write freely or pick from a menu, do you need to send proactive messages at scale, and how much time do you have to build and maintain the bot.

Disclosure: this comparison was written by the DanAI team, and DanAI is one of the options in it. Every fact about another vendor was taken from its official website and checked on September 25, 2026. Where a fact was not published, we wrote “not published on the site” rather than guess. Vendors are listed alphabetically. Prices change — check with the vendor before deciding.

How we compared

For each option we checked five things: the type of product, how it connects to WhatsApp, whether it answers with AI or with menus and flows, what the site says about Hebrew, and the published starting price. We did not test other vendors’ products hands-on. The comparison is based on what they publish themselves.

The ILS 700 package adds Facebook and Instagram DMs and comment replies, ILS 900 adds integrations such as Booking.com and Airbnb, and ILS 1,100 adds website chat. Official API or QR scan — what’s the difference for a business?

A connection through the WhatsApp Business Platform (the API) goes through Meta or a provider working with Meta. It supports proactive template messages and broadcasts at scale. According to Meta, since July 1, 2025 it charges per template message, at a rate based on the message category and the recipient’s country. Marketing messages are always charged. Regular messages sent within 24 hours of the customer’s message are free.

A QR connection links the business’s existing WhatsApp account, like WhatsApp Web. This is how DanAI connects, and its packages have no message cap.

Two questions to ask any vendor, whatever the connection method: what happens if WhatsApp restricts the number, and how are conversations and contacts kept if you leave.

How to choose by type of business

  • Appointment-based businesses — salons, clinics, studios. Look for free-form replies, calendar booking and handoff to a person. DanAI includes Google Calendar booking in its base package. WhaleBiz includes calendar booking in its Standard plan.
  • Businesses that send broadcasts and promotions on WhatsApp. You will need a platform connected to the official API that supports template messages — for example Gambot, OCTBOT, AllChat or WATI. Plan for Meta’s marketing message fees too.
  • Online stores. Check catalogs, store connections and abandoned carts. WATI, for example, lists tools for Shopify and the WhatsApp catalog.
  • Businesses whose inquiries come mostly from Instagram. ManyChat focuses on Instagram automation. DanAI’s ILS 700 package adds Facebook and Instagram DMs and comment replies to the same agent and CRM.
  • Vacation rentals. Check calendar sync with Booking.com and Airbnb. With DanAI it is part of the integrations package (ILS 900), or an ILS 200 add-on on top of the base.
  • Businesses with internal systems and a unique process. Consider a custom implementation, as with Connectop, or dedicated development. Price details: how much it costs to build a chatbot.
  • Businesses that want to try before committing. AllChat and ManyChat have limited free plans. ManyChat offers a 14-day trial on paid plans, WATI 7 days and DanAI 14 days.

What to ask every vendor before choosing

  1. How does the bot connect to WhatsApp? Official API or QR, and what your number needs.
  2. What is the full annual price? Subscription, setup, VAT, Meta fees and AI add-ons.
  3. What happens when you exceed a limit? Contacts, conversations or AI messages — are you blocked or charged?
  4. How does the bot handle Hebrew? Test with ten real questions, including typos.
  5. What happens when the bot doesn’t know? How the conversation reaches a person, and how you get alerted.
  6. Where are messages processed? Which AI model handles conversations, and who runs it.
  7. Who owns the data? Can you export conversations and contacts if you leave?

Frequently asked questions

Which WhatsApp bot is best for a small business in Israel?

No single option fits everyone. If customers write freely and ask about prices and appointments, look for an AI agent that answers from your business information. If you send broadcasts at scale, look for a platform connected to the official API. This comparison was written by the DanAI team.

How much does a WhatsApp bot cost for a business in Israel?

Published starting prices range from limited free plans to about ILS 500 a month, mostly before VAT. Some vendors add setup fees and Meta’s message fees. DanAI: ILS 500 a month, with no setup fee and no message cap. See full pricing.

What is the difference between the official API and a QR connection?

The official API supports template messages and broadcasts at scale and is subject to Meta’s per-message pricing. A QR connection links your existing WhatsApp account, like WhatsApp Web. Ask any vendor what happens if the number is restricted.

Do I need an AI bot, or is a menu bot enough?

Menus suit a few fixed options. When customers ask in their own words, an AI agent fits better. Most platforms in this comparison now combine a flow builder with AI.

Is this comparison objective?
